Clive Cox is filled with satisfaction after his steady jockey Adam Kirby pulled off a superb triumph on Adayar within the Cazoo Derby at Epsom.
Kirby joined Lambourn coach Cox as a 15-year-old in 2005, and the pair have since loved great success – together with on the high desk with Deadly Pressure, Worthwhile, Harry’s Angel and Golden Horde.
Cox was thrilled to see Kirby etch his identify on the roll of honour in Britain’s largest Flat race on Saturday – on the Godolphin-owned colt for coach Charlie Appleby.
“I am completely over the moon for him. It was spectacular,” he mentioned.
“We have had some wonderful days, however it is extremely particular to see him win a Derby – the top of the racing scene. It is such a beautiful achievement.
“We return a great distance, and I am completely elated by watching him yesterday.
“It is well-deserved, and on high of all the things else he is a very nice fella. I used to be very happy with what he did.”
