Concerning post-Wenger Arsenal stat emerges following Gunners’ latest defeat

Arsenal downed by Everton

This weekend’s Premier League action began on Friday evening when Arsenal and Everton faced off.

Heading into the game, Arsenal’s hopes of a top-six finish were already seriously fading.

And when all was said and done at the Emirates, those hopes are now dead in the water, with the Gunners’ only real chance of securing European football for next term now lying in the Europa League.

Arsenal would dominate the game on Friday and limited Everton to just one shot on target. However, Arsenal were unable to turn their dominance into a goal and were eventually punished through Bernd Leno’s horrendous own goal 76 minutes in:

Arsenal without Arsene Wenger

And after the majority of the weekend’s action has been played out, Arsenal have slipped down to 10th in the league and could drop as low as 11th if  Aston Villa – who are currently locked in action vs West Brom at the time of writing – pick up a win on Sunday.

Now, following their latest loss, a rather concerning stat surrounding Arsenal post-Arsene Wenger has emerged online.

Wenger’s final few years in north London were not the most impressive, with Arsenal fans quite vocal in their desire to see the Frenchman leave.

Said fans may be regretting that stance now, though, after it was revealed that the maximum points their side can finish on this season is 61 (which does seem unlikely anyway), with Wenger’s lowest-ever finish as Arsenal boss seeing him notch 63 points.
